Shipping labels reaches zero stock in about 3.43 days, before its 5-day lead time.
- Reorder point = daily use × (lead time days + safety days), rounded up to a whole unit.
- Packs are rounded up from the unit shortfall, so the order may exceed the exact reorder point.
- Coverage after order assumes the entered daily use stays constant and excludes future receipts or substitutions.
- All values are for Example shop replenishment. The sample rows are illustrative, not a live inventory feed.
Know the boundaries
- This planner uses the usage, lead time, safety days, pack size, and unit cost that you enter. It does not connect to stock counts, vendors, purchase orders, or live prices.
- A constant daily-use assumption can miss seasonality, promotions, spoilage, substitutions, and minimum order rules.
- The platform saves the CSV and budget in this browser. The result is a planning list, not an automated order.
Examples are illustrative. Results depend on the assumptions and measurements you enter.
Method, not guesswork
Replenish against the demand you can explain. Keep on-hand units, expected daily use, supplier lead time, and a deliberate safety buffer in separate columns.

Read guideCommon questions
What creates the reorder point?
The engine multiplies daily use by the sum of lead-time days and safety days for each item.
Why is the recommendation in whole packs?
A positive shortfall is divided by pack size and rounded up so the suggested purchase matches the entered buying unit.
Does StockSignal place an order?
No. It produces a local planning list from the CSV and budget you enter; vendor availability and purchase workflow stay outside the tool.
